Contest Rules: |
• Submit color prints no smaller than 5"x7" and no larger than 8"x10", mounted 35mm color slides or medium-format transparencies. Negatives or slides must be available for all prints submitted (but do not send the negative with your entry.) Digital images may be submitted on CD with at least 300 dpi resolution, minimum 5"x7" in TIFF, JPEG or EPS format. Please include color printout with slides and digital
images.
• Photographer must be the sole owner of all submitted photos.
• A contest entry form must be completed and attached to each photo submitted. Additionally, photographer’s name must be printed on the back of each photograph.
• A model release form must be submitted with any photos that include people or pets as subjects. Provision of the model release forms are the responsibility of the photographer. Group shots or performance shots at public events are excluded from this provision. |
Release: |
• Copyright of photo remains with Photographer. Photographer agrees to allow Carpinteria Morning Rotary Club
(“CMRC”) to publish photographs in all media including the calendar and related promotional material without compensation.
• Photographer warrants that the photographs: (1) do not infringe on any copyright, (2) do not invade anyone's privacy, (3) do not libel or slander anyone.
• All reasonable care will be taken in handling entries, however, Photograper holds CMRC harmless for lass or damage to photos.

• Photographer agrees to indemnify CMRC for any and all losses, damages, costs or expenses arising from any action, proceeding or litigation initiated relating to
photograph. |
Submission: |
• All slides, prints, entry forms, should be sent in a padded envelope. Photos will not be returned unless self-addressed, stamped envelope is provided.
• Submissions must be postmarked by MAY 31, 2009.

Judging: |
• The photos are judged by Carpinteria Morning Rotary Club members. All entries will be judged on quality and content. The decision of the judges is final. Winners will be notified by
July 31,
2009. |
